All teams in the Championship used an identical Dallara-built SF23 chassis, and could run either a Honda or Toyota 2 litre inline-four cylinder engine. The series tyre supplier was Yokohama. Lawson's Red Bull sponsored SF23 was powered by a Honda M-TEC HR-417E direct injection, turbo-charged engine producing 405kw (550ps).
