This is a high-quality 1:43rd Spark resin model of Jim Clark's winning #6 Lotus 49T DFW from the 1968 Tasman Series.

The Tasman Series (formally the Tasman Championship for Drivers) was an annual competition held from 1964 to 1975 over a series of races in New Zealand and Australia, and was for open-wheel single-seater racing cars (similar to F1 or F2) fitted with unsupercharged engines up to 2500cc. It was named after the Tasman Sea which lies between the two countries. The series was held in January to March each year, during the Formula One off season in the Northern Hemisphere, therefore attracting top Drivers and Teams "Down Under" for summer racing.

The 1968 Tasman Series was contested over eight races, four in New Zealand (Pukekohe, Levin, Wigram & Teretonga) and four in Australia (Surfers Paradise, Warwick Farm, Sandown & Longford). 1968 was the fifth annual Tasman Championship and was won by Jim Clark, driving a Lotus 49T Ford Cosworth 2.5 litre DFW. Clark scored 4 wins, 1 second place, 1 fifth and 2 retirements. 1968 was Clark's third and final Tasman Championship.
