This is a beautifully detailed 1:43rd scale Bizarre model of the Kenwood sponsored 'Cleanliner Electric LSR Car' that attemped to claim the electric speed record at Bonneville in 1992.

Driven by Saturo Sugiyama, the 33ft long LSR car was powered by an electric motor producing 480KW (600hp). The motor received its power from 117 lead-acid van batteries connected in series, which contributed to the car's hefty overall weight of 4 tons!

Unfortunately the team's very professional, mega-budget attempt was ultimately thwarted by rain on the salt flat, and lack of development.
