This is a 1:43rd Limited Edition model of the Courage C41 (Porsche) #13 'Courage Compétition' from the 1997 Le Mans 24 Hour. The three drivers, who placed 4th overall, were Didier Cottaz, Jérôme Policand & Marc Goossens. Only 500 of these high quality resin models will be produced.
The model is from Spark's 'Michel Vaillant' collection, and is supplied in special Vaillante packaging. It is one of many racecars that have worn 'Vaillante' sponsorship from the 1960's to the present day. 'Michel Vaillant' is a French car racing comic series created in 1957 by French cartoonist Jean Graton. In the comics Michel Vaillant, the main character of the series, is a French racing car driver who races mainly in Formula One for his family's 'Vaillante' race team. The character first appeared in Tintin magazine in 1957, where Jean Graton had already published a number of short stories about real-life sporting heroes. An estimated 17 million copies of the series albums have been sold worldwide.
